Domira Hernandez-Smith is a native of Carabobo, Venezuela. Her paintings are colorful, like the bright colors found in the Amazonian jungle. In her paintings, she brings the outdoor indoors and creates serenity, and harmony with vibrant colors.

Picturesque landscapes, flowers, and surreal images are part of the composition that are brought to life with bright colors and complex compositions. As the artist expression is unique and distinctive, she tells a story that welcome the viewer to do a visual journey of her artwork.

She studied Fashion Design and Marketing in Venezuela, and in the U.S, she studied computer graphics, painting I, II and III, and mural painting and design. In addition to her art education she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a minor in Accounting from Rutgers University, and an Associated Degree in Applied Science in Computer Information Systems from Camden County College.

Hernandez-Smith’s artwork can be seen in the cafeteria at Camden County College, at the Runnemede Library, and private residences. Also, she is a member of New Jersey Watercolor Society.
